Great prices, clean rooms, great staff

    Fabulous

We enjoyed staying in the Howard Johnson hotel very much. The price is right for our budget and the MANAGER, MIKE was such a wonderful, helpful and so keen to help out and see that we were comfortable in every way. Mike should be promoted - we need more Manager like him, thank you. The breakfast could be a little more better, perhaps with some hot meals or boiled eggs if not too many items. Mrs. S. Baldinger and family

    Location

Hotel has seen its better days, it is clean but even tile in shower needs to be replaced. Very old building that has not been maintained over the years. Out of order signs seemed to be everywhere, wanted some ice, that was out of order. Wanted a snack, again nothing available machine was empty.

We booked a king room, we were given a room with double bed. Shower was moldy. No parking, we had to park in the lot at the bar nextdoor. No ice.

    Fabulous

Was ok, nice diner nearby, plus other eateries

there was minimal often no internet, ice machine were broken, as was the whirlpool, so three of the reasons I booked here was not available, but I paid for them.

    The coffee was drinkable.

This room should have cost less than half of the extreme price we paid. The staff was not friendly. The laundry facilities were out of order. A hinge was broken off on the bathroom door. There was mold on the shower tile. 2 drawers on the dresser were broken and incapable of being opened. There was no telling how long it had been since the worn carpet had been cleaned. The room smelled musty. The free breakfast featured bread with no butter or jams, cereal with no milk, tiny muffins and coffee. Shall I go on? It is not the kind of place I wanted to stay after a long day on the highway but when we made the reservations, pickins were slim. If this place is representative of Howard Johnson, I shall never stay at one again! I would sooner drive all night or sleep in a road side rest!

Nothing, the pictures on the internet were deceiving. The room smelled, the sheets had stains on them and the curtains had holes in them. I was very uncomfortable.

Overpriced, dirty, looked like a drug culture hangout, carpet was new but had to force the door open because it caught on the poorly installed carpet. Was actually going to take pictures for our friends to see how an overly small and poorly constructed room can bring in big bucks. We were charged an extra $15 because we had a small dog with us (even though we indicated we had a dog when booking) and another $3 because we booked on-line. Our $59 room was suddenly $84 . . . Could have stayed at a decent place for that sum.

    At least it was clean.

The Inn could really use some updating. Our room was supposed to be a king size bed but was actually a queen. You could tell there used to be a king in there due to the spacing of the night stands. Our pillows were about 2 inches thick. Thankfully I had taken my own pillow but my husband ended up putting the towels under his pillow since when I had gone to the office to ask for a couple I was told they were in big demand and if any were found they would be brought up but none were. Lets just say that my husband will not be letting me choose anymore hotel rooms. The only thing we did like was that it was clean and the couple that was managing it were nice.

On route 66 and reasonably easy to find

I think it has only recently become a HoJo motel. It was pricey for what you got. A basic motel, with a very basic continental breakfast sleeping on a very basic mattress. A bit disappointing for the money. We stayed on a Saturday night and it may have been a bit more expensive than during a weekday. It seemed like more like a $60 a night motel.
